The Challenge

The Ribnitzer Rebbe’s Yartzeit is one of the largest annual gatherings in Rockland County, drawing approximately 20,000 attendees, with busloads arriving from across the region. The event takes place at a cemetery, requiring respectful placement, careful crowd flow, and dependable sanitation under heavy use.

Compounding the complexity, the event occurs the day after the holidays conclude. Rentals from prior events could not be picked up until the holiday concluded, leaving a very narrow window in which equipment had to be retrieved, serviced, and fully prepared for early-morning deployment. Setup for the Yartzeit had to be completed between 5:00–5:30 AM, following an already demanding schedule, leaving no margin for delay.

Our Plan

We executed a pre-dawn restroom setup using a three-trailer configuration: 4-station, 8-station, and 11-station restroom trailers. To support peak demand, we deployed 30+ porta potties, a trailer sink, and a pumper truck.

Technicians remained on site throughout the event to manage on-site pumping for events, monitor tank levels, and restock supplies. (We also supplied additional infrastructure—including men’s and women’s tents, lighting, and fencing— to support crowd flow and privacy.)

Results

Despite constant use and heavy arrivals, restroom lines moved quickly, facilities stayed clean, and service remained uninterrupted. All units were operational before sunrise, and the event ran smoothly from first arrival through final departure.

Timeline & High-Volume Cemetery Event Logistics

Before Dawn: Crews arrived early, staged trailers, connected water, and tested all systems. The full setup was complete by 5:00–5:30 AM, ahead of the first buses.

During the Event: High-volume cemetery event logistics were managed in real time. Technicians monitored usage, pumped tanks proactively, and restocked supplies to prevent downtime.

After the Event: Equipment was removed efficiently, and the site was cleared according to schedule and venue requirements.
