The Challenge
A Chof Aleph Kislev event is a major Chassidic gathering held in the winter, typically marking the yahrzeit of a revered Rebbe with communal prayer and learning. Taking place immediately before Chanukah, these events often occur in multiple locations at once, requiring simultaneous large-scale service—such as the two we supported: a Satmar community gathering in Brooklyn and a separate major event at the Crown Heights Armory.
Events drew approximately several thousand attendees and required high restroom capacity, extensive handwashing access, and uninterrupted sanitation during peak usage. Tight scheduling, overlapping timelines, and high expectations left no room for error.
Our Plan
Light It Up fully serviced each event independently, with logistics coordinated centrally to ensure seamless execution.
We deployed complete restroom solutions at both locations, including:
- Restroom trailers positioned for primary traffic flow
- Rows of porta potties to absorb peak demand
- Handwashing systems customized per site—sink trailers at one location and modular handwashing stations with water tanks at the other
- Dedicated on-site cleaning crews maintained throughout each night
All deliveries, setups, servicing, and cleanings were carefully sequenced so both events operated smoothly without overlap or delay.
Results
Both community events ran without interruption. Facilities remained clean, lines moved quickly, and sanitation needs were met continuously during the busiest entry and exit periods.
Despite servicing two major Brooklyn events at the same time, Light It Up delivered full coverage at each location—on schedule, fully staffed, and exactly as planned.

Setup
Equipment arrived at both venues for coordinated staging. Restroom trailers, porta potties, and handwashing units were positioned based on site-specific crowd flow and access needs. Utilities and water supplies were tested, cleaning schedules activated, and all stations fully stocked before doors opened.
During the Events
High-volume restroom logistics were managed in real time at both locations simultaneously. Cleaning crews remained active throughout each night, restocking supplies and maintaining sanitary conditions during peak usage.
After the Events
Teardown was completed efficiently at each site, with venues returned clean, clear, and on schedule.
